Volkswagen Celebrates Film And Television In Second Year Of South By Southwest Sponsorship
- Volkswagen as Super Sponsor backs 2023 SXSW® Film & TV Festival and Transportation Track at SXSW Conference
- Two panel discussions presented by Volkswagen on brand partnerships and the future impact of autonomous vehicles
Volkswagen is celebrating its second year as a South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals Super Sponsor by backing the conference’s Film & TV Festival program in Austin, TX. Running concurrently with the SXSW Conference, the Film & TV Festival takes place from March 10-19, celebrating innovation and emerging talent from behind and in front of the camera.
In addition to the support of numerous Film & TV Festival related events, Volkswagen is presenting two panel discussions during the SXSW Conference. The first will center on brand partnerships and product placement in film, with special focus on recent success with well-known film franchises. A second panel will examine how autonomous vehicles could change urban landscapes.
“The dynamism of South by Southwest lets us celebrate our iconic brand in an iconic cultural setting,” said Cameron Batten, Chief Communications Officer, Volkswagen Group of America. “From product and technology advancements to cultural milestones, we know the audience will be here in Austin, Texas.”
“We’re thrilled to have Volkswagen back as a sponsor for 2023,” said Jann Baskett, SXSW Co-President and Chief Brand Officer. “Their technology innovations and future-forward identity make them an ideal collaborator. We look forward to seeing this year’s programming and activations.”
Panel discussions are open to select SXSW badge holders with more details available through the following links:
