Acer announced three Vero projectors, designed to equip businesses and consumers with high-performing energy-efficient projectors while providing more options to reduce their ecological footprint. With their 30,000-hour lifespan, the new Vero projectors bring in superior laser light technology for crystal-clear images and long-lasting brightness for an extended duration, helping save on the total cost of ownership and power consumption. These mercury-free projectors also incorporate green materials by using 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in the chassis and recycled paper packaging to reduce the production of harmful materials and limit their impacts on the environment.
Energy Efficient with Superior Laser Light Technology
Building on the success of the Acer Vero PD2325W, the new eco-conscious projectors have transitioned to using an advanced laser light source for increased brightness and improved energy efficiency. As a result, these “Green But Mean” projectors provide eight times less brightness decay while consuming approximately 50% less power in comparison to traditional lamp-based projectors, reducing the total cost of ownership while inflicting less harm to the environment. Maintenance and replacement costs are also significantly reduced with their 30,000-hour lifespan, making it an ideal and reliable choice for high-frequency use.
Equipped with a dynamic 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 4,000 ANSI and 3,500 ANSI lumens brightness respectively, the Acer Vero PL2520i and XL2220/XL2320W projectors can produce vivid and precise images from long distances and in dark surroundings. These also feature Acer ColorBoost3D technology and accurately reproduce 93% of the Rec. 709 color gamut, delivering superior color production and display as compared to lamp models. Acer’s tailor-made Football mode and HDMI 3D[1] specifications also make for stunning and enhanced big-screen projection, whether in a meeting room or in the comfort of your own home.
Flexible Installation and Projection
The Acer Vero PL2520i and XL2220/XL2320W projectors feature hassle-free installation and can be used in either 360-degree projection[2] or portrait mode. Users can maximize its flexibility from any up and down angle to create surround projections on walls, ceilings, and floors for interactive displays. From there, the projector utilizes its automatic keystone correction technology for automatic adaptive adjustments and projects an ideal display on the desired viewing surface. The Acer Vero PL2520i also possesses 1.3X optical zoom capabilities, offering users greater flexibility in terms of image adjustment and installation.
Enhanced Usability and Reliability
With optical engines rated IP6X “dust-tight”, the highest degree of protection from solid objects, the new Vero projectors offer uncompromised performance even in dusty or challenging environments. It is worth mentioning that these new Vero projectors reduced their dimensions and weight by approximately 33% as compared to the previous PL1520i model, which helps reduce the consumption of packing materials and fuel emissions per unit during shipping. The Acer Vero PL2520i and XL2220/XL2320W projectors also support 24/7 non-stop projection, providing users with reliable and high-quality performance even for prolonged periods. These Vero projectors have built-in 15W speakers showcasing powerful, room-filling sound from videos, movies, or music, eliminating the need for external speakers. The Acer Vero PL2520i also supports wireless projection[3] and mirroring display[4] compatible devices[5] to allow direct screen projection with no limitations.
