Onwards HR Employee Offboarding Platform Now Available on SAP® Store

By integrating with SAP® SuccessFactors® Employee Central, Onwards HR helps companies conduct compassionate and compliant layoffs and terminations

Onwards HR announced that Employee Offboarding Platform, its data-driven offboarding technology, is available on SAP® Store, the online marketplace where customers can access solutions from SAP and its partners. Onwards HR provides end-to-end technology to help companies manage layoffs and terminations with compassion and compliance. Its Employee Offboarding Platform integrates with SAP® SuccessFactors® Employee Central.

“Many companies have developed robust programs for recruitment and onboarding but are lacking when it comes to employee separations,” said Sarah Rodehorst, CEO of Onwards HR. “Though difficult, employee terminations are a normal part of the employment lifecycle, and they should be treated in a way that provides the best possible experience for employers and employees.”

Since the product first launched in 2019, Onwards HR has improved the separation process for employers and employees. The technology’s built-in features enable companies to easily analyze layoff scenarios for compliance with legal requirements, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission anti-discrimination regulations, as well as the Department of Labor’s WARN Act.

Onwards HR also yields time and cost savings for companies by automating administrative portions of the onboarding process, such as document generation and severance pay calculations. Further, the tool can be configured to adopt the rules of each company’s internal policies and workflows, enabling easy collaboration across HR, finance, and legal teams.

Layoffs and terminations pose significant financial and reputational risks to companies, especially given their sensitivity. Mismanaged employee separations can leave companies vulnerable to wrongful termination lawsuits and WARN Act violation penalties, both of which can negatively impact a company’s brand and profitability.

By integrating with human capital management (HCM) systems like SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Onwards HR provides companies with a simplified offboarding process fueled by real-time data.

SAP Store delivers a simplified and connected digital customer experience for finding, trying, buying and renewing more than 2,300 solutions from SAP and its partners. There, customers can find the SAP solutions and SAP-validated solutions they need to grow their business. And for each purchase made through SAP Store, SAP will plant a tree.

Onwards HR is a partner in the SAP® PartnerEdge® program and participated in the SAP.iO Foundry program in Berlin. The SAP PartnerEdge program provides the enablement tools, benefits, and support to facilitate building high-quality, disruptive applications focused on specific business needs – quickly and cost-effectively.
