The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and OnePlus Nord Buds Are Here

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is the brand’s most accessible 5G-ready smartphone ever in India, and the OnePlus Nord Buds extend the Nord series into the hearables category.

Total global technology brand OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G – the brand’s most accessible 5G smartphone ever in India. The Nord CE 2 Lite is a power-packed device offering a fast, energy-efficient chipset, a massive battery with fast charging, and a 120 Hz display. The device also comes pre-installed with OxygenOS 12.1, has 5G connectivity, and retains popular features from the Nord CE series – like a 3.5 mm headphone jack and expandable storage via a microSD card. Today OnePlus also debuted its first ever Nord hearable with the OnePlus Nord Buds that shares the same mission as OnePlus Nord smartphones – making great technology accessible to more people. The OnePlus Nord Buds boast a refreshing new design, an excellent audio experience, and great battery life with super-fast charging.

“The Nord CE 2 Lite expands and strengthens our lineup of Nord devices, offering the core features our consumers value at our most accessible price ever in India,”said Navnit Nakra, India CEO and Head of India Region, OnePlus India. “The Nord CE 2 Lite is an exceptionally dependable and efficient daily driver with a powerful and energy-efficient chipset, a large 5,000 mAh battery, and a great camera system. Additionally, given the overwhelming response we have received from our community on OnePlus hearables, we are excited to announce the launch of our new OnePlus Nord Buds that further enhance our OnePlus ecosystem and make great audio technology more accessible for our community.”

Powerful and Seamless Performance

The Nord CE 2 Lite is powered by the Snapdragon® 695 5G Mobile Platform that offers an octa-core CPU with speeds up to 2.2 GHz. The chipset is manufactured using a 6 nm fabrication process which helps to deliver powerful, energy-efficient performance and is supported by a Qualcomm® Adreno™ 619 GPU that improves performance by up to 30% from the previous generation. Accompanying the chipset is up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of storage.

A large 5,000 mAh battery is fitted inside the Nord CE 2 Lite that can power the device through an entire day of gaming, streaming, and scrolling through social media. Based on internal OnePlus testing, the Nord CE 2 Lite can stream YouTube videos for approximately 21 hours or play 23 consecutive 30-minute rounds of PUBG Mobile on a single charge. Charging the Nord CE 2 Lite is quick and easy with 33W SUPERVOOC that can refill its battery from 1-50% in just 30 minutes. 33W SUPERVOOC also supports hardware-assisted temperature monitoring thanks to 9 different sensors on the Nord CE 2 Lite that ensures the device stays cool and runs smooth during the charging process.

On the front of the Nord CE 2 Lite sits a 6.59 inch FHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and LCD technology that delivers a smooth and power-efficient viewing experience. The Nord CE 2 Lite’s display uses an AI dynamic refresh rate management system that adjusts its refresh rate depending on the type of content being consumed to improve power consumption further.

The Nord CE 2 Lite supports the HyperBoost Gaming Engine which powers features like General Performance Adapter (GPA) Frame Stabilizer that work to deliver a more stable and responsive gaming experience. GPA Frame Stabilizer aims to reduce frame rate fluctuation when gaming on the Nord CE 2 Lite and works to ensure that, if frame rate drops do occur, they do so gradually rather than quickly and dramatically.

Smarter Cameras

The Nord CE 2 Lite has a triple camera system on its rear headlined by a 64 MP main sensor offering a large pixel size that allows it to capture sharper, more detailed photos with less blur and noise, particularly in low-light environments. The 64 MP main sensor works in tandem with a 2 MP depth-assist camera to ensure Portrait Mode shots have excellent depth and clarity, with subjects outlined accurately.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite supports Nightscape, which works with the device’s 64 MP main camera to capture up to eight shots at varying exposures in an instant and intelligently weaves them together to produce clearer, brighter, and more dramatic photos.

A 16 MP camera with electronic image stabilization (EIS) is present on the front of the Nord CE 2 Lite. EIS helps to reduce blurriness caused by external factors like moving vehicles and shaky hands to take clearer and more stable photos and videos.

With Dual-View Video, the Nord CE 2 Lite allows you to record with both its front and rear cameras at the same time, opening a range of new creative possibilities while filming.

Eye-Catching Design

The Nord CE 2 Lite comes in two eye-catching fingerprint and smudge-resistant colorways – Blue Tide and Black Dusk. Blue Tide offers a rolling gradient of blue and yellow while Black Dusk has a dark and stormy matte black finish. The edges of the Nord CE 2 Lite are flatter so it’s more comfortable when holding the phone horizontally for long periods.

OxygenOS 12.1

The Nord CE 2 Lite comes pre-installed with OxygenOS 12.1. The Nord CE 2 Lite will receive two Android™ version updates and three years of Android security patches.

OnePlus Nord Buds

The First Nord Hearable

The OnePlus Nord Buds expand the Nord product portfolio and philosophy to hearables, offering excellent audio technology at a competitive and accessible price point. Building on community favourite features, the Nord Buds boast 12.4 mm titanium dynamic drivers, support Dolby Atmos, and offer 30 hours of combined playback on a single charge.

Excellent Audio Experience

The Nord Buds are equipped with 12.4 mm titanium dynamic drivers that were handpicked by OnePlus’ acoustic engineers for their rich bass reproduction and razor-sharp treble. Just like the OnePlus Buds Z2, the Nord Buds come with support for Dolby Atmos – Dolby’s spatial audio technology – that emulates 3D audio effects from a typical surround sound system when consuming content-compatible movies, music, or games.

The Nord Buds are equipped with 4 microphones for filtering out unwanted background noise during calls. Moreover, the Nord Buds leverage AI powered noise reduction algorithms and have a mechanical design to reduce the noise of wind blowing, allowing you to make crystal clear calls that amplify your voice to those you’re speaking with.

Long-Lasting Battery and Flash Charge

The OnePlus Nord Buds deliver 30 hours of combined playback on a single charge – that’s over a day of grooving to music, playing games, or watching the latest blockbusters. The earbuds themselves provide 7 hours of playback on a single charge.

The OnePlus Nord Buds support Flash Charge which provides 5 hours of audio playback after just 10 minutes of charging.

OnePlus Quality

With a new, smaller design, the OnePlus Nord Buds provide improved comfort when listening for hours on end. The earbuds come in Black Slate and White Marble colorways that each have a metallic look and feel thanks to non-conductive vacuum metallization – the same process used to create the OnePlus Buds Pro’s three colorways.

The OnePlus Nord Buds are IP55 rated against water and sweat. Additionally, the earbuds have a sweat-resistant hydrophobic nano-coating that protects them against corrosion.

Seamless Connectivity

The Nord Buds are equipped with Bluetooth 5.2 and have ultra-low latency as low as 94 ms. OnePlus users can take advantage of OnePlus Fast Pair to instantly connect the Nord buds to their device. Those without a OnePlus smartphone can download the HeyMelody app on other Android devices from the Google Play Store to get started.
